NASHUA, N.H. -  The Norwich University women's basketball team picked up their third Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) victory on the year on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Raiders of Rivier University on the road, 51-35.

The first half was tightly contested, as Norwich couldn't pull away from the Raiders completely. Both teams shot under 25% from the field in the half and entered the locker room with Norwich holding onto a 24-17 advantage.

Norwich opened things up in the second half with a 10-2 run to extend their lead, and held the Raiders to a mere 18 points in the second half to take the game by a 51-35 final.

Senior Arianna Harrison (Vernon, Vt.) had a big game, leading the team with a 17 point and 11 rebound double-double, including a perfect 11-11 mark from the free throw line. This marks Harrison's third double-double of the year and second in the last three games.

Shyann Josler (Thetford Center, Vt.) filled up the stat sheet once again with 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals. Vanessa Fleury (Lebanon, N.H.) had a nice night off the bench, providing 6 points and 5 rebounds in just 15 minutes of play. The Cadets outpaced the Raiders in rebounds (61-50), points off turnovers (13-11), second-chance points (18-5), and free throws made and attempted (23-29, 5-16).

The Cadets have taken three of their last four games and will look to ride the momentum wave this Tuesday when they take on Emmanuel (Mass.) at home for another GNAC contest set to tipoff at 7:30 PM.
