BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS – The Norwich University women's volleyball team dropped a pair of matches at Suffolk University, coming up short against the host school and Curry College on Saturday afternoon.

In the first contest of the day Norwich battled it out with the hosting Rams, but ultimately dropped a tight first game to the Rams 25-23. The Cadets were unable to rally in the next two games, dropping them by scores of 25-20 and 25-15 to lose the match to their Great Northeast Conference (GNAC) foe in three sets.

Freshman Julia Schroeder (Victorville, Calif.) led the Cadets in game one, racking up eight kills with a .438% hit percentage. Junior Emily Oliver (Sagamore Hills, Ohio) put together a nice game as well, leading both teams with 25 assists while also chipping in 11 digs.

Curry College faced off against the Cadets in game two for a non-conference tilt. The Cadets were able to pull out a nice 25-22 win in the second game of the match, but that would be all for the Cadets as they dropped the match by a score of 3-1.

The Cadets played well in game two, led by freshman Kathryn Farnum (North Andover, Mass.) who was able to put together a neat double-double with 13 kills and 13 digs.  As a team, the Cadets put up 52 kills and 8 service aces on a solid .213% team hitting percentage.

Norwich returns to action on Wednesday, October 18^th, when they head up to Standish, Maine for a GNAC face-off with Saint Joseph's College of Maine. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
