Madden completed her three-point night at the 2:10 mark of the third period with a re-direction in front of the net for her second goal of the season. Piracini and Carly Menges (Novelty, Ohio) picked up the assists on the goal.

UNE scored at the 14:12 mark of the third period to break up the Cadets' team shutout with Abby Kinens beating NU senior goalie Celeste Robert (Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec) off assists from Melissa Boudreau and Annie Mullen.
