Senior Alex Ruediger (Sandy Lake, Pa.) knotted the third set at nine points with a clutch kill off an Oliver assist, but Anna Maria limited the Cadets to only five more points down the stretch and ultimately registered a dominant 17 kills alongside only five attacking errors in the third set (17-5-28).

Mount Ida opened up a quick 5-0 lead in the first set and would eventually build a 20-11 lead against the Cadets. With Oliver serving, however, Norwich rattled off five-straight points to make things interesting, but a service error by the Cadets would end the first stanza.
Norwich led by a 10-7 margin in the second set, but six-straight points by Mount Ida doomed any chance of a victory. Down 8-1 in the third set, a time out by the Cadets sparked an impressive comeback as Norwich tied the match, 10-10. A match-high 11 attacking errors would keep the Cadets from completing the comeback as the hosts secured a 25-19 win in the third set.
Mary Kate Reidy led the Mustangs with 11 kills and 13 while Alexis Bell dished out 22 assists and 13 digs, both earning a double-double in the process. Molly Alkinburg led her team with three service aces.
