NORTHFIELD, Vt. - The Norwich University women's rugby team hosted Army West Point at the Dog River Rugby Pitch on Saturday morning.

The Black Knights picked up their first-ever win against the Cadets in 15's with a 43-17 victory.

Norwich's tries were scored by seniors Valerie McGuire (Felts Mills, N.Y.) and Hannah Bell (Newburg, Ore.)

Freshman Bayli Jenski also connected on a penalty kick for the Cadets.

Senior Lindy Clark scored three tries for Army West Point while fellow seniors Carissa Pekney and Chioma Odocha scored a try apiece.

The Black Knights improve to 3-0 on the season while the Cadets fall to 1-1.

Norwich is next in action on Saturday, September 26th for a home match against Quinnipiac. That contest is set to start at noon.
