Box Score 2 WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The Norwich University women's volleyball team dropped a pair of Great Northeast Athletic Conference games. The Cadets are now 4-15 overall and 0-9 in league play.
The host, University of St. Joseph (Conn.) swept Norwich in three sets by scores of 25-9, 25-11, 25-12. Senior Tara Lyons (Pocasset, Mass.) and junior Alex Ruediger (Sandy Lake, Pa.) each had seven kills for the Cadets.
The Cadets looked to snap the skid but could not find any offensive attack in the second contest, dropping a 3-0 decision to Lasell College by scores of 25-8, 25-13, 25-20. Lyons and freshman Emily Jordan (Dalton, Mass.) each had five kills for Norwich.
At the end of the day, Lyons recorded a combine total of 12 kills and four total blocks followed by Ruedigers' 10 kills, 13 digs and a service ace. Oliver would collected a combine total 26 assists and nine digs with a block assists on the day.
Norwich returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 28 when they host Castleton University for the 7:00 p.m. match.
