DURHAM, N.H. – The Norwich University women's rugby 7s team made it 2-for-2 with American Collegiate Rugby Association (ACRA) Spring 7s Series titles on Saturday by winning the Scott Milley 7s Tournament hosted by the Univ. of New Hampshire.
The Cadets (9-0) improved to 27-0 all-time in 7s matches as they rolled to four victories by a combined score of 153-12.
Senior wing Joya Clark (Scotia, N.Y.) led Norwich for the second straight week with seven tries on the day. Senior Rose Bernheim (Mountain Home AFB, Idaho) and junior Emily Oor (Uxbridge, Ontario) scored five tries as well for the Cadets.
Clark led Norwich with a trio of tries as the Cadets downed Dartmouth 50-7 in the championship. Oor scored twice, while Bernheim, Valerie McGuire (Felts Mills, N.Y.) and Hannah Bell (Newberg, Ore.). Bell chipped in with five conversions to cap the Norwich offense on the day.
In pool play, Norwich beat Dartmouth 24-5, Northeastern 44-0 and Boston University 35-0.
The Norwich "B" side lost to the UNH "A" side 12-5 in the B bracket finals.
