HENNIKER, N.H.— Norwich University women's ice hockey forward Tori Charron (Tecumseh, Ontario) finished with two goals and an assist leading the Cadets past the New England College Pilgrims 4-0 Saturday afternoon.

With the win the Cadets improve to 7-1-0 overall and 6-0-0 in ECAC East play.  The loss drops the Pilgrims to 1-6-0 on the season and 1-3-0 in ECAC East action.

The Cadets wasted no time getting on the board as Adelle Murphy (Roseau, Minn.) picked up a loose puck at center ice and feed Tori Charron who would beat Pilgrim goalie Lauren Hopps (Green Bay, Wisc.) to record her team-high ninth goal of the season just four minutes into play.

Norwich continued to bring the offensive pressure throughout the opening period, including several shots that would ricochet off the post and 22 shots turned away by Hopps.

Charron put the Cadets up 2-0 just over four minutes into the second period netting her second goal of the game assisted by Madyson Moore (Dubuque, Iowa).

The Cadets would tack on two third period goals, including a score by Marie-Philip Guay (Longueuil, Quebec) assisted by Charron and Kayla Parsons (Fairbanks, Alaska) at the 5:06 mark and a tip-in by Moore assisted by Meghan Papagno (Wakefield, Mass.) with just over six minutes remaining.

NEC's best scoring opportunity would come in the third period as junior forward Aubrey Fischer (Syracuse, N.Y.) would be awarded a penalty shot but Norwich goalie Loren Carrier (Chandler, Ariz.) would come up with the save keeping the Pilgrims off the board.

Norwich finished the game with the 62-9 advantage in shots on net.

Norwich's Carrier finished the game with nine saves recording her second shutout of the season.  Hopps finished the game with an impressive 58 saves in net for NEC. 

NEC returns to action on Tuesday, Dec. 3 when they travel to take on non-conference opponent Bowdoin College. Norwich will hit the ice again on Saturday, Dec. 7 when they host Bowdoin College.
