BOSTON, Mass.—Freshman Josh Evans (Grafton, Mass.) has been named this week's Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday afternoon.

Evans averaged nine points per game off the bench for Norwich in a 1-1 week. In the Cadets' 55-47 win against Medgar Evers, Evans scored eight points and added ten points against Daniel Webster.

 In his first week of collegiate action, he shot 40% from the floor and 85.7% from the free-throw line. Evans also averaged six rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game.

The Norwich men's basketball team will be back in action twice this week, as they travel for an in-state battle against Johnson State College on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. and travel to Colby-Sawyer College on Saturday for 1:00 p.m. tilt.
