NASHUA, N.H.—Four different starters scored in double-figures to lead the Rivier University men's basketball team to a 60-46 home Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) win against the Cadets of Norwich University. 

With the loss, the Cadets fall to 5-10 overall and 2-6 in GNAC action, while the win boosts the Raiders to 6-9 overall and 2-6 in league play.

Leading the offensive attack for Rivier was Tom Poitras, who totaled a game-high 22 points.  Nick Walsh added a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Kywane Thomas and Garon Whitney added 11 points apiece.  Shawn Gareau dished out a game-high six assists.

Evan Tullar (Chelsea, Vt.) paced Norwich with team-highs in points (14) and rebounds (four).  Nickolai Havoutis (Coral Springs, Fla.) and Tom McDonald (Groton, Mass.) both added seven points for the Cadets' offense.  Havoutis dished out a team-best three assists.

The Raiders held a 17-point advantage at halftime as the hosts shot 60 percent (14-23) and held the Cadets to just seven field goals on 30 percent shooting. 

The Cadets outscored the Raiders in the second half as they connected on 12 field goals, including five three-point baskets, and a free throw.  The Raiders also connected on 12 field goals but were held scoreless from behind the arc despite taking six attempts.

The Cadets return to action on Monday, Jan. 21 when they host Suffolk University in GNAC action at 7:30 p.m.
