NORTHFIELD, Vt. - The Norwich University women's rugby team raced out to a 90-0 lead by halftime en route to a 152-0 win over the University of Connecticut on Saturday in the Cadets' New England Collegiate Rugby Conference (NECRC) opener.
Freshman center Ally Day (Gorham, Maine) had a career-best day scoring five tries to lead the powerful Cadet offense to a new program record of 24 tries on the day.
Norwich (6-0, 1-0 NECRC) won its 12th straight home match and will look to stay perfect in 2012 when it travels to Northeastern next Saturday.
