BRIDGEWATER, MASS. – Four close-knit matches were part of Bridgewater State's 36-3 win over Norwich University Jan. 14.

The Cadets (0-2) picked up a win from sophomore 157-pounder Dave Pinto (Milford, Mass.). Pinto defeated Matt Stott 4-2 to move his season record to 5-4.

Coach John Hartupee's squad narrowly missed making the final outcome closer against the No. 10-ranked team in the New England Wrestling Association, as sophomore heavyweight Anthony Joyce (Lincoln, R.I.) lost a one-point decision. The sophomore duo of 133-pounder Robby Zyko (Staten Island, N.Y.) and 149-pounder Evan Poole (West Milford, N.J.) both battled their opponents to two-point outcomes.

Norwich resumes its weekend road trip with a double-dual at Johnson and Wales University in Providence, R.I., Sunday, Jan. 15. The Maroon and Gold take on the Wildcats and Southern Maine beginning at 12 p.m.
