Box Score CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Norwich women's soccer team rebounded from its first defeat of the season in a big way by downing Pine Manor 8-0 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action on Wednesday.
The Cadets got goals from seven different players, including two from sophomore Kathleen Manning to cruise to the conference win. Manning also added an assist to account for five points on the day.
Senior forward Nikki Szczepanski opened the scoring in the seventh minute and then the rout was on from there as the Cadets pumped home seven more tallies.
Also tallying goals for Norwich were Lisa Esparza, Baylie Lamarre, Brittany Casey, Courtney Parisot and Julia Lovely.
Norwich (4-1-1, 2-1-1 GNAC) returns home to Howard Field this weekend where it will host Emerson at 1 p.m. as part of Norwich's Parents Weekend festivities. The NU men will follow up at 3:30 p.m. in the first home soccer doubleheader of the season.
