MANCHESTER, N.H. – The third-ranked Norwich men's ice hockey team used a five-goal second period to pull away from St. Anselm and cruise to a 9-4 victory on Saturday in ECAC East action at Sullivan Arena.

The Cadets (10-4-1, 8-0-1 ECAC East) had 13 different players register a point led by senior defenseman Greg Eskedjian's four assists.

Sophomore forward Pier-Olivier Cotnoir had two of the goals in Norwich's five-goal second period that proved to be the difference in the game.

Senior captain Chad Anderson had a goal and two assists, while freshmen forwards Chris Duszynski and Travis Janke continued their impressive weekends with three points each as well.

Sophomore forwards Kyle Thomas and Blake Forkey each chipped in a goal and an assist to round out the Norwich offensive leaders.

Freshman goaltender Parker Carroll made 10 saves to stay perfect on the season and pick up his third win.

Saint Anselm (6-5-0, 4-5-0 ECAC East) used all three of its goaltenders with Kevin Fairweather starting the game and then being pulled after giving up two goals on four shots in the first 3:20 of the game. Robert Kang picked up the loss for the Hawks after making 21 saves on 26 shots. He dropped to 4-3-0 on the season.

Norwich outshot St. Anselm 37-14 and was 2-for-6 on the power play, while St. Anselm was 1-for-4.

The Cadets have now scored 27 goals in their last four games to up their goals-per-game average to 4.73, which ranks second in the country behind only Bowdoin's 5.42.

Norwich will try to extend its winning streak to five games next Friday when the Cadets travel to Wesleyan for a 7 p.m. faceoff followed by Trinity on Saturday at 3 p.m.
