LEWISTON, Maine - Joe Moeller won a pair of
individual events in the pool, and Peter Bue posted a pair of Top 2
finishes to help lead the Norwich University men's swimming and
diving team to a split of a tri-meet with Bates and University of
New England on Saturday. The Cadets beat New England, 97-22, but
fell to Bates, 70-50.
Moeller won the 50-yard butterfly (26.40 seconds) and the
200-yard individual medley (2:06.92). Bue, meanwhile, took home the
gold in the 50-yard backstroke (26.03) and placed runner-up in the
100-yard back stroke (56.39).
The Cadets only other victory came in the 200-yard freestyle
relay, where Zach Mahoney, Mike Zemanek, Kevin Weber and Zander
Fields teamed to place first with a clocking of 1:37.89.
The Cadets return to action on Sunday, Jan. 10, when they travel
to Waterville, Maine, to face Colby College in a dual meet.
