CHICOPEE, Mass. - Peter Bue had a hand in four
victories in the pool to help the Norwich University men's swimming
and diving team sweep Gordon and Elms on Saturday afternoon.
The Cadets (5-6) cruised past Gordon, 102-17, and also swam past
Elms, 68-54.
Individually, Bue took home gold in the 50-yard backstroke
(27.58) and the 100-yard backstroke (58.86).
He then helped the Cadets sweep the two relay events. He teamed
with Joe Moeller, Chris Hevey and Zander Fields to win the 200-yard
medley event in a time of 1:46.92. Bue then joined forces with
Kevin Weber, Mike Zemanek and Zach Mahoney to capture the 200-yard
freestyle relay (1:36.13).
Elsewhere, Moeller won the 200-yard freestyle (1:56.83) and the
100-yard butterfly (58.14), while Weber took gold in the 50-yard
butterfly (26.92).
Norwich returns to action on Tuesday, Jan. 26, when the Cadets
travel up Interstate-89 to Colchester, Vt., to swim against St.
Michael's College. The first events are set to get under way at 4
p.m.
