Box Score

BOSTON - Hannah Davis scored the game-winning goal with less than three minutes to play in regulation, and Leah Hallett made 42 saves to lead UMass-Boston past Norwich, 2-1, in an ECAC East women's ice hockey game Friday afternoon.

The Cadets tied the game at 1-1 less than five minutes later when sophomore F Julie Fortier scored an unassisted short-handed goal at the 12:36 mark.

Norwich was whistled for a penalty with 3:12 to play, and UMass-Boston cashed in with Davis' goal with just 2:21 remaining. Sousa and Lauren Duran picked up assists on the goal.

Norwich will be back in action on Saturday, Jan. 16, when the Cadets travel to Purchase, N.Y., to take on Manhattanville College at 7 p.m.
