WATERVILLE, Maine - Joe Moeller had a hand in
three victories in swimming events, but it was not enough as the
Norwich University men's swimming and diving team dropped a 112-56
decision to Colby College on Sunday afternoon.
Moeller won a pair of individual events, picking up first-place
ribbons in the 200-yard individual medley (2 minutes, 8.55 seconds)
and the 200-yard butterfly (2:05.20). He then teamed with Zander
Fields, Mike Zemanek and Kevin Weber to help the Cadets win the
400-yard freestyle relay (3:34.56).
Peter Bue and Chris Hevey also won individual events for NU,
with Bue winning the 200-yard backstroke (2:12.95) and Hevey
capturing gold in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:33.35).
Norwich returns to action on Tuesday, Jan. 12, when the Cadets
travel to Waltham, Mass., to swim against Bentley. The first events
are set to get under way at 4 p.m.
