Volleyball: Norwich Downs Worcester State, 3-0

WESTON, Mass. - The Norwich University volleyball team picked up its first victory of the young season on Saturday at the Regis College Tournament, defeating Worcester State, 3-0. The Cadets won 25-13, 25-16 and 25-16.

Junior Molly Rice posted a double-double with 24 assists and 19 digs. Senior Lisset Magdaleno smacked down a team-best 14 kills, while junior Thea Evans added 14 digs. Sophomore April Byllaardt pitched in five kills and two service aces for the Cadets (1-2).

Norwich returns to action at the Regis College Tournament on Sunday, Sept. 6, with three more matches.
