Women's Lacrosse: Norwich Tramples St. Joseph (Conn.), 25-4

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The Norwich University women's lacrosse team won its sixth straight game on Tuesday afternoon, defeating St. Joseph (Conn.), 25-4, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) contest.

Norwich (6-1, 5-0 GNAC) was led by Ally Daniels, who scored a game-high six goal and added a game-high three assists. Kacey Abbriano continued her solid play, scoring five goals and dishing out two assists for the Cadets. Alyssa Nicoloro (three goals, one assist), Mollie Fitzpatrick (three goals, one assist) and Chelsea Martin (two goals, three assists) all produced solid offensive outings as well.

Norwich took control of the game from the outset, as the Cadets scored the first eight goals of the contest. NU led 14-2 at halftime and cruised to the victory.

Norwich returns to action on Wednesday, April 8, when the Cadets host in-state rival Castleton State College in a non-league match at Howard Field. Gametime for the contest is set for 4 p.m.
