BOSTON - Ally Daniels, Kacey Abbriano and Chelsea Martin scored three goals apiece to help lead the Norwich University women's lacrosse team to a 20-5 victory over Simmons in the team's Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) opener Tuesday evening.

Daniels and Abbriano each added two assists for the Cadets (1-1, 1-0 GNAC). Kathleen Hennessy, Mollie Fitzpatrick and Jillian Balasco each added two goals apiece. Ashley Haviland, Alyssa Nicoloro, Katie Magnus, Maura Kee and Lori Baldassara all scored one goal apiece to round out the scoring for Norwich.

All four of the Cadets' goalkeepers saw time in the Norwich net. Kellie Pickel started the contest and made seven saves. JoLynn Brewer finished the first half and stopped three shots. Lauren Lebel (two saves) and Meghan Kennedy (five saves) split time in goal in the second half for the Cadets.

Norwich returns to action on Saturday, March 28, when the Cadets travel to Chestnut Hill, Mass., to battle GNAC foe Pine Manor. The conference clash is slated to begin at 12 p.m.
