WALTHAM, Mass. - Chris Prybella had a hand in
three victories in the pool, but it was not enough as the Norwich
University men's swimming and diving team dropped a 144-123
decision to Bentley on Saturday afternoon.
Prybella won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 21.73 seconds,
and took gold in the 500 free (4:57.92) individually. He then
teamed with Pete Bue, Zach Mahoney and Zander Fields to help the
Cadets win the 200-yard freestyle relay with a clocking of 1:31.00
Bue and Fields each won individual events as well with Bue
winning the 100 back (57.85) and Fields touching the wall first the
100 free (56.94).
Joe Moeller won the 400-yard individual medley (4:28.58) and
Simon Hugh captured the 100 IM (1:02.12) to round out Norwich's
list of winners on the day.
The Cadets (6-5) won seven of the 16 events, while Bentley won
the other nine disciplines.
Norwich returns to action the weekend of Feb. 27-March 1, when
the Cadets travel to Bristol, R.I., to compete in the New England
Championships. A total of 15 Cadets will be participating in the
event.
