NORTHFIELD, Vt. - The Norwich University men's
swimming and diving team fell in its season-opening meet, 150-138,
to SUNY Potsdam Saturday afternoon at Goodyear Pool.
The Cadets start out 0-1, while Potsdam moves to 1-0 on the
young season.
Peter Bue and Simon Hugh paced Norwich, each grabbing two
first-place finishes.
Bue placed first in the 50 (26.72) and 200-yard backstroke
(2:11.49), while Hugh picked up wins in the 50 and 200-yard
breaststroke.
Mike Zemanek added a win in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:06.98),
and Joe Moeller picked up a victory in the 400-yard individual
medley (2:05.26).
The Cadets won the 400-yard medley relay in a time of 3:51.12.
The Cadets return to action on Saturday, Nov. 14, when they host
Colby-Sawyer College at Goodyear Pool. The first events are slated
to begin at 1 p.m.
