PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Norwich University
volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Johnson & Wales
University in the quarterfinal round of the Great Northeast
Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament at the Harborside Recreation
Center on Tuesday evening. The Wildcats swept aside the Cadets,
winning by set scores of 25-13, 25-18 and 25-19.
Johnson & Wales (22-14) was led by junior Catherine Bravo,
who registered a match-high 13 kills and six digs. Senior Ashley
Constantino recorded seven kills and 10 digs in the victory, while
junior Nikki Balchunas chipped in eight kills and seven digs.
Freshman Kasey Higgins chipped in 32 assists, 11 digs and four
service aces.
Norwich (17-12) was paced by senior Lisset Magdaleno (nine
kills, four digs) and junior Molly Rice (18 assists, nine digs).
Sophomore Brittany Palmer added six kills and eight digs for the
Cadets
