COLCHESTER, Vt. - Chris Prybella and Pete Bue
each had a hand in four victories in the pool as the Norwich
University men's swimming and diving team defeated St. Michael's,
162-117, Saturday afternoon.
The Cadets won 12 of the 16 events on the day, en route to the
victory. The win, Norwich's fourth in a row, improves the Cadets'
record to 6-4 on the season.
Prybella won the 50-yard butterfly in a school-record time of
24.18 seconds. He also took gold in the 100 free (50.88) and the
200 free (1:51.63). Bue, meanwhile, won the 50-yard backstroke
(26.02), the 100 back (57.31) and the 50 free (22.83).
Prybella and Bue then teamed with Joe Moeller and Zach Mahoney
to win the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1:44.48.
Kyle Kenia won a pair of individual events, taking first in the
500 free (5:10.26) and 1,000 free (10:40.55). Moeller won the
100-yard butterfly (58.02), while Simon Hugh won the 50-yard
breaststroke (30.40).
The foursome of Kenia, Mahoney, Zander Fields and Mike Zemanek
teamed to win the 200 freestyle relay with a clocking of 1:36.60.
Norwich returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 7, when the Cadets
host Bentley at Goodyear Pool.
