CHICOPEE, Mass. - Chris Prybella and Pete Bue
each had a hand in four victories in the pool as the Norwich
University men's swimming and diving team recorded victories over
Elms and Gordon on Saturday afternoon. The Cadets beat Elms,
100-41, and defeated Gordon, 100-15.
With the sweep, Norwich improves its record to 5-4 on the
season.
Prybella won the 200-yard freestyle in a pool-record time of 1
minute, 59.96 seconds. He then went on to win the 50-yard butterfly
(26.98). Bue, meanwhile, won the 50-yard backstroke (29.56) and the
100 back (1:05.14).
Prybella and Bue then teamed with Joe Moeller and Kyle Kenia to
win the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1:58.26. Prybella, Bue,
Kenia and Zach Mahoney later teamed to win the 200-yard freestyle
relay with a pool-record clocking of 1:42.24.
Individually, Kenia won the 400-yard freestyle (4:42.15), while
Moeller took first in the 200 breast (2:50.36) and Mahoney grabbed
gold in the 50 breast (34.23).
The Cadets return to action on Saturday, Jan. 31, when they
travel to Colchester, Vt., to take on St. Michael's College.
