NORTHFIELD, Vt. - The Norwich University volleyball team extended its season-opening win streak to four straight on Saturday afternoon, defeating in-state rival Castleton State, 3-0, in the team's home opener at Andrews Hall. The Cadets had won by scores of 25-19, 25-10 and 25-20.

Sophomore Alicia Chamness led the way with nine kills and six digs, while junior Lisset Magdaleno chipped in six kills and three blocks. Freshman April Byllaardt added nine service aces, while sophomore Molly Rice contributed 18 assists and four digs.

Norwich will put its undefeated 4-0 mark on the line this Thursday, Sept. 11, when the Cadets host in-state rival Lyndon State at Andrews Hall. First serve is slated for 7 p.m.
