BENNINGTON, Vt. - The Norwich volleyball team
won its third straight match to start the 2008 season on Wednesday,
defeating in-state rival Southern Vermont, 3-0. The Cadets had no
trouble earning the victory, winning by scores of 25-3, 25-6 and
25-8.
Freshmen Abby Windley (nine service aces) and April Byllaardt
(eight service aces) led the way for Norwich. Junior Lisset
Magdaleno added a team-high three kills, sophomore Victoria Miller
chipped in a team-leading four assists and sophomore Alicia
Chamness contributed two digs.
The Cadets return to action on Saturday, Sept. 6, when they host
in-state rival Castleton State at 12 p.m.
