WORCESTER, Mass. - The Norwich volleyball team
opened its 2008 season on Saturday as the Cadets defeated visiting
Maine Maritime, 3-0. NU had little trouble dispatching Maine
Martime, as the Cadets won by scores of 25-11, 25-13 and 25-17.
Junior Lisset Magdaleno led Norwich with 14 kills and two
blocks. Sophomore Molly Rice chipped in six kills and a team-high
20 assists, while sophomore Victoria Miller added four service
aces.
Norwich returns to action later today (Aug. 30) when the Cadets
take on WPI.
