LAKE PLACID, N.Y. - Two members of the Norwich
University men's ice hockey team were named RBK All-Americans, as
senior forward Rick Cleaver and junior forward Nikita Kashirsky
earned the honor.
Cleaver was tabbed a first-team All-American for the second
straight season after earning second-team laurels as a sophomore.
The Parksville, B.C., native has been a force throughout the
season, and enters Saturday's NCAA Semifinal contest versus St.
Norbert with a team-best 31 goals and 50 points.
Cleaver led the ECAC East in goals and points during the regular
season, and has continued his impressive play during the
postseason.
Kashirsky was selected as an All-American for the first time in
his career as the Moscow, Russia, product earned second-team
accolades. Kashirsky, who had a knack for scoring "big" goals for
the Cadets this season, lists second on the club in goals (20),
assists (22) and points (42).
Norwich faces St. Norbert on Satuday, March 22, in the NCAA
Semifinals at Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, N.Y. Faceoff for
the contest is slated for 2:30 p.m.
