PLYMOUTH, N.H. - Meghan Sullivan and Eliza
Badeau combined to make 26 kills Wednesday evening to lead
third-seeded Plymouth State to a 3-0 sweep over sixth-seeded
Norwich in a quarterfinal match of the ECAC New England Women's
Volleyball Tournament at Foley Gymnasium.
The Panthers took the match with set scores of 25-15, 25-17 and
25-19, improving their season record to 20-14. Sullivan led the way
for PSU with 14 kills while Badeau added 12. Wendy Dziedzic
chipped in with nine kills for the Panthers in the winning cause.
Norwich, meanwhile, completes its season at 16-9.
Sullivan and junior Kathy Frankowski shared team-high
honors for PSU with three service aces apiece. Frankowski and
Sarah Spears each registered 11 digs, and Brianna Kleckner recorded
38 set assists.
Sophomore setter Molly Rice led the Cadets with 10 assists, 10
digs and four kills. Junior Lisset Magdaleno and freshman
April Byllaardt also had four kills apiece, and sophomore Alicia
Chamness contributed 15 digs.
