CASTLETON, Vt. - The Norwich University volleyball team swept aside in-state rival Castleton State College, 3-0, on Tuesday evening. The Cadets won by set scores of 25-17, 25-19 and 25-20.

Norwich (14-4) was led by junior Lisset Magdaleno, who smacked down a team-best nine kills to go along with 12 digs, four blocks and one service ace. Sophomore Molly Rice recorded a double-double with a team-high 25 assists and a team-best 13 digs.

Sophomore Alicia Chamness added five kills, six digs and four service aces, while freshman Brittany Palmer chipped in five kills and six digs. Fellow freshman April Byllaardt contributed in eight kills, while junior Keira Holmes registered 10 digs.

Norwich returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 25, when the Cadets travel to Providence, R.I., for a pair of key GNAC matches. NU will face Rivier at 12 p.m., before facing Johnson & Wales at 2 p.m.
