Volleyball: Norwich Sneaks Past St. Joseph (Conn.), 3-2

NORTHFIELD, Vt. - The Norwich University volleyball team rallied past St. Joseph (Conn.) on Saturday afternoon, winning a thrilling 3-2 match at Andrews Hall. The Cadets won by set scores of 26-28, 25-19, 21-25, 25-21 and 15-2.

Norwich (13-2, 6-1 GNAC) trailed 2-1 going into the fourth set, but the Cadets rallied by winning the final two sets. NU was led by junior Lisset Magdaleno, who produced a triple-double with 16 kills, 18 digs and 10 blocks. Magdaleno also added two service aces.

Sophomore Molly Rice chipped in 40 assists, 17 digs, nine kills and two service aces. Sophomore Alicia Chamness tallied 15 kills, 13 digs and three blocks, while freshman Brittany Palmer added 10 digs, four kills and three service aces.

Norwich returns action later today (Oct. 11), when the Cadets host GNAC rival Mount Ida at 4 p.m. at Andrews Hall.
