NORTHFIELD, Vt. - The Norwich University
volleyball team lost to Great Northeast Athletic Conference foe
Mount Ida on Saturday evening, dropping a 3-1 decision to the
visiting Mustangs at Andrews Hall. Mount Ida won by set scores of
22-25, 25-23, 25-12 and 25-18.
Norwich (13-3, 6-2 GNAC) was led by junior Lisset Magdaleno, who
totaled 15 kills and 22 digs. Sophomore Molly Rice dished out a
team-best 25 assists, and also posted 13 digs and three kills.
Sophomore Alicia Chamness contributed eight kills and 11 digs,
while sophomore Dana Flieger tallied 12 digs.
Norwich returns to competition on Wednesday, Oct. 15, when the
Cadets host Plymouth State at Andrews Hall. First serve is slated
for 6 p.m.
