LYNDONVILLE, Vt. – Alicia Chamness produced her second straight double-double to lead the Norwich volleyball team past Lyndon State, 3-0, Tuesday evening. The Cadets swept aside their opponent by the scores of 30-14, 30-16 and 30-25.

It marks the fourth time in five matches this season that Norwich (5-0) has defeated its opponent in three games.

Chamness, who has developed into a force for the Cadets, led NU in kills (12) and digs (10). Molly Rice dished out a team-high 18 assists, while Amy Fuller, Sondra Connelly and Amanda Plachek all tied for the team lead with four service aces.

Norwich returns to the court on Sunday, Sept. 16, when the Cadets begin their GNAC schedule with a trip to Boston for pair of conference matches. NU is scheduled to battle Suffolk at 12 p.m., before tangling with Emmanuel at 2 p.m.
