NORTHFIELD, Vt. - UMass-Boston scored three
goals in each period and cruised to a 9-0 victory over Norwich in a
women's ice hockey game played Saturday evening at Kreitzberg
Arena.
The Beacons (3-3-0, 2-2-0 ECAC East) netted three goals within
the first 10:46 of the game to take control of the contest.
They added three more goals within the final five minutes of
the second period to take a commanding 6-0 advantage into the third
stanza.
Norwich (2-1-0, 1-1-1 ECAC East) was led by Sophie Leclerc, who
generated nine shots on goal. The Cadets actually outshot
UMass-Boston, 31-30.
The Cadets wrap up their weekend set with a conference game
versus St. Anselm on Sunday, Dec. 2, at Kreitzberg Arena. Faceoff
is set for 3 p.m.
