NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Junior swimmer Chris Prybella
had a hand in three wins in the pool to lead the Norwich men's
swimming and diving team past visiting St. Michael's, 160-93, on
Wednesday evening at Goodyear Pool. The Cadets wrap up their
season-opening four-meet homestand with a 3-1 record.
Prybella, who has been impressive throughout the first four
meets, won the 100-yard butterfly (55.96) and the 100-yard
freestyle (49.50). The Philadelphia, Pa., product then teamed with
Peter Bue, Joe Moeller and Renat Fatkulin to win the 200-yard
medley relay in a time of 1:47.59.
Bue, Moeller and Fatkulin all produced win in individual events
as well. Bue took gold in the 50-yard freestyle (23.11), Moeller
placed first in the 1,000-yard freesthle (10:57.16) and Fatkulin
won the 50-yard breaststroke (31.09).
Senior team captain Ben Courtney chipped in with a pair of
victories, winning the 50-yard backstroke (27.65) and the 100-yard
backstroke (57.43).
Kyle Kenia rounded out Norwich's winners in the pool, taking the
500-yard freestyle race with a clocking of 5:17.16.
Matt Kaye set the pace for NU in the diving events, winning the
one-meter discipline with a score of 199.70 points.
Norwich returns to action on Friday, Dec. 7, when the Cadets
travel to Bentley for a 7 p.m. meet.
