Will Ruth enters his second season as the Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at Norwich University during the 2025–26 season. Ruth assists Scott Caulfield, the Director of Strength & Conditioning, in supporting Norwich’s 23 varsity athletic programs with daily training, performance planning, and student-athlete development.
Ruth joined the Cadets after two years as the first strength coach for the Craftsbury Green Racing Project, a high-performance program for Olympic and pre-Olympic athletes in rowing, cross-country skiing, biathlon, and running. The program is part of the renowned Craftsbury Outdoor Center in Vermont.
Before relocating to Vermont in 2019, Ruth worked in Washington State as both a strength coach and assistant coach for the Western Washington University men’s rowing team. He also served as an assistant coach for the Bellingham High School lacrosse program.
Ruth holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Western Washington University and a Master of Arts in Sport Coaching from the University of Denver. He is certified as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Ruth lives in Barre, Vermont, with his wife, Emily.
