Will Cunningham

Will Cunningham joins the Norwich University football program as an offensive graduate assistant ahead of the 2025 season following a diverse playing and coaching career rooted in the Northeast.

Cunningham is a 2023 graduate of Saint Anselm College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in marketing. A four-year member of the Hawks football team, he played center and received Northeast-10 All-Conference honors as a freshman. After suffering an ACL injury during the spring of his sophomore year, Cunningham transitioned into a student assistant role with the offensive line during the 2021 season. In a remarkable return to the field, he played his senior season with the same torn ACL, helping lead Saint Anselm to a 6–4 finish—the program’s winningest season in recent history—and earning the team’s Comeback Player of the Year award. He returned to a coaching role during the spring of 2023.

Following graduation, Cunningham spent over a year working as a commodity lumber trader in New Hampshire while continuing to coach at the high school level. He served as an assistant offensive line coach at Pelham High School during the 2024 season, helping guide the team to a 10–2 record and an appearance in the NHIAA Division II State Championship game.

Originally from Florida, Cunningham is currently pursuing his MBA in supply chain management at Norwich.
