Richie Roman joined the Norwich Football staff ahead of the 2025 season. Most recently, Roman served as the defensive line coach at Muhlenberg College in 2024. During his tenure, the Mules ranked 24th nationally in sacks and featured one All-Centennial Conference performer on the defensive line, Keshon Davila. Muhlenberg capped off the season with a victory in the MAC-Centennial Bowl Series against Widener, where standout defensive lineman Derek Rosenow was named MVP after recording 3.5 sacks.
Prior to Muhlenberg, Roman spent the 2023 season at Lycoming College, where he coached two All-Landmark Conference defensive linemen, Jake Welch and Elisha Carothers. His contributions helped guide the Warriors to a win in the inaugural Cape Charles Bowl at Washington and Lee.
Roman began his coaching career at the high school level, serving six seasons on the staff at Parkland High School (Pa.). During his time there, the program amassed a 53–17 record, claimed two district titles, and made four district final appearances.
A native of Pennsylvania, Roman played one season as an offensive lineman at Moravian University before graduating in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and economics.
