John Roberts joined the Norwich University men's ice hockey coaching staff as an assistant in 2025 and also serves as the goaltending coach for both the men’s and women’s hockey programs.

Roberts brings recent NCAA Tournament experience and a strong track record in goaltender development, having previously coached at Stevenson University during the 2024–25 season under Dominick Dawes '04. That season, Stevenson reached its first NCAA Tournament in program history and led the Middle Atlantic Conference in shutouts, while ranking second in goals against average. Roberts helped develop netminder Jack Karlsson into the MAC Defensive Player of the Year and an AHCA All-American.

Prior to joining the coaching ranks, Roberts played collegiate hockey at both the Division I and III levels, beginning his career at Northern Michigan before transferring to St. Norbert College. At St. Norbert, he made 45 appearances across three seasons and helped lead the team to multiple postseason berths.

A native of Lansdale, Pa., Roberts now works closely with Norwich goaltenders across both varsity teams, including standout returner Sami Molu. In addition to his hockey duties, Roberts also serves as head coach of the men’s golf program.
