Allie Gratton serves as the Office Manager for the Norwich University Department of Athletics, a role she has held since June 2022. In this position, Gratton acts as the central point-of-contact for all departmental operations, working closely with coaches, administrators, staff, student-athletes, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination across 23 varsity athletic programs.
Gratton plays a pivotal role in the day-to-day administrative operations of the department, including scheduling, budgeting support, purchasing, transportation logistics, and communication with university offices. Her reliability, organizational skill, and understanding of the athletic calendar make her an invaluable asset to the success of Norwich Athletics.
In addition to her office responsibilities, Gratton served as the Assistant Cross Country Coach at Norwich for the 2022 and 2023 seasons. She helped guide the men’s team to the 2022 GNAC Championship—their first since 2017—and supported a continued rise in the program, including a runner-up finish for the men and a third-place GNAC result for the women in 2023, their best mark since their last title in 2017.
Before arriving at Norwich, Gratton built her athletic and academic foundation at Saint Michael’s College, where she was a standout member of the women’s cross country team. A consistent top performer, she earned Northeast-10 All-Conference Third Team honors as a senior and helped lead the Purple Knights to their first-ever NCAA Division II National Championship appearance in 2014. She graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and later completed her Master’s in Sport Leadership from Endicott College in 2021.
A competitive distance runner to this day, Gratton has completed eight marathons, including three consecutive Boston Marathons (2022–2024). She has also crossed the finish line at the Chicago Marathon (2024), California International Marathon (2023), Philadelphia Marathon (2019), and the Vermont City Marathon (2015, 2018).
