Ben Bliss joined the Norwich wrestling staff in January of 2021. Bliss serves as a practice/developmental coach alongside his role as an academic mentor.

Prior to Norwich, Bliss wrestled collegiately at Bucknell University where he was a three-time captain and capped his career with a 4-3 record in his final year of competition. He was a two-time recipient of Bucknell wrestling's 11th Man Award given to the wrestler who works hard and contributes tremendously to the overall achievement of the team.

He graduated Cum Laude with honors from Bucknell in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Geosciences and is currently enrolled in a Master's in Earth and Environmental Science at Lehigh University.

Bliss was a four-time wrestling letter winner at Mount Mansfield Union serving as the team's captain for three years. His career as a Cougar concluded with him becoming the all-time high school wins leader with a career record of 182-15. He was a three-time Vermont state finalist and two-time state champion at 106 pounds as a sophomore and at 120 pounds as a senior. Bliss also captured the New England championship at 120 pounds his senior year. During his high school career, he helped lead his team to two divisional championships and four top-three finishes at the state tournament.

When not engaged in wrestling, Bliss enjoys cycling, racing mountain bikes, fly-fishing, hiking, reading history and science, and noodling some blues licks on his guitar.

Bliss resides in Underhill, Vermont.
