Allie Gratton enters her third season as an assistant coach for the men's and women's cross country teams in 2024. She also serves as the Office Manager for the Norwich University Athletic Department.
In 2023, Gratton continued to aid the cross country programs to success, as the men's team finished as runner-ups at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championships, while the women posted a third-place finish, their best mark since winning the championship in 2017. Cece Winters '27 became Norwich's first GNAC Women's Rookie of the Year since 2021, also landing a First Team All-Conference nod. Colby Makin '24 and Alek Villavicencio '27 earned First Team All-Conference accolades on the men's side.
The year prior, Gratton helped lead the men's cross country team to its first GNAC Championship since 2017. Judson Nash '26 collected seven GNAC Men's Rookie of the Week awards on his way to being named GNAC Rookie of the Year.
A former student-athlete, Gratton ran four years of cross country at Saint Michael’s College. Consistently a top runner on the team, Gratton landed on the NE-10 All-Conference Third Team her senior year. She helped her team qualify for the 2014 NCAA DII Cross Country Championship held in Louisville, Kentucky, becoming the first women’s team in school history to compete at the national level. Gratton graduated from St. Mike’s in 2015 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and earned her Master’s in Sport Leadership from Endicott College in 2021.
Gratton continues to run and has completed seven marathons, the most recent being the Boston Marathon in April 2024. She has also run the Boston Marathon in 2022 and 2023. Her other marathons include the California International Marathon, the Philadelphia Marathon, and two Vermont City Marathons.
