Cam Clarke

Cam Clarke enters his second season as the head coach of the men's golf program in 2024.  He also serves as an assistant coach for the men's hockey team.

Clarke led the men's golf team to its best showing since the program's reinstatement in 2022, leading the 2023 team to a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) runner-up finish at the 2023 GNAC Championship.  Cooper Bertrand '27 was named the GNAC Co-Rookie of the Year, in addition to earning All-Conference First Team nods, while Harrison Giambattista '27 received All-Conference Second Team accolades.

The Tecumseh native had a very successful high school golf career in Michigan.  It included first and second-place finishes in the SEC Conference of Michigan as a junior and senior in high school.  Also, he was among the top 15 in Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) Regional Tournaments, qualifying for one MHSAA State Tournament.  He had a very decorated high school golf career and was one of the top golfers in the county.  Cam has continued to play competitive golf in various club tournaments and events.

After high school, Clarke focused on furthering his athletic career in hockey.  He played junior hockey in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) for the Lone Star Brahmas, where he was named Defenseman of the Year and was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft (5th Round #136 Overall).  He then played Division I hockey at Ferris State University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Finance.  After leaving Ferris State, Cam played three professional seasons in the ECHL for the Wichita Thunder and Toledo Walleye.

The Ferris State University graduate lives in Northfield with his wife Claire, daughter Scottie, and their dog Banks.
