WINTHROP, Mass. – Norwich University women's swimming sophomore Delaney Allen (Gibsonia, Pa.) has been named Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Swimmer of the Week following an impressive performance at the Keene State Pentathlon meet this past weekend.
Allen paced the Cadets with a second-place finish in the women's pentathlon, compiling a combined time of 3:06.38 across the five individual events. She consistently ranked among the top performers in the field, showcasing her versatility across multiple disciplines and leading Norwich with a strong all-around effort.
Allen turned in a pair of runner-up performances, finishing second in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 26.36 before adding another second-place finish in the 100-yard individual medley at 1:04.92. She continued her strong showing in the breaststroke and butterfly events, placing fourth in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 34.09 and fourth in the 50-yard butterfly in 28.83.
Her performance highlighted Norwich's depth across the individual events and provided an early-season boost for the Cadets as they continue to build momentum heading into the remainder of the 2026-27 campaign.
Allen is looking to pace a similarly decorated season as last where she won a unique feat as GNAC Swimmer of the year and GNAC Rookie of the year.
Norwich will look to carry that momentum into its upcoming meets as the team continues its preparation for the heart of the swimming and diving season. Next on the schedule the Cadets host Regis College at Goodyear Pool.
