NORTHFIELD, Vt. - The Norwich University women's swimming & diving team took to Goodyear Pool for the third-straight weekend, soaring past the University of Saint Joseph, 217-77, on Saturday afternoon.
The Cadets were nearly perfect, finishing in the top spot in 15 of 16 events.Â
Alannah Kelliher (Middleboro, Mass.) racked up the most individual victories with three, while also participating in the first-place 400 medley relay team to spur the afternoon's festivities.
Brandy Lewis (Strafford, Vt.), Anna Gosselin (Lisbon, Conn.), Kylie Farris (Leander, Texas), and
Reilly Laitala (Sterling, Mass.) all also roped in multiple individual victories. Kelliher and Farris were two of the swimmers partaking in the 400 medley relay, alongside
Abbey Houghton (Dover, N.H.) and
Maria Piekarczyk (Dudley, Mass.), as the quadruplet touched the wall in 4:38.26.
Lewis' 18:59.65 effort in the 1650 freestyle gave the Cadets their first individual win, with Norwich amassing four-straight wins before the Blue Jays scooped up their lone victory in the 100 butterfly.
Norwich subsequently rallied for 10-straight victories, including a pair of diving wins courtesy of Laitala posting 224.02 and 164.93 scores. Norwich closed the day by taking the 800 freestyle relay, with
Deanna Parot (San Diego, Calif.), Tschida, Houghton, and
Kaylin Creel (Huntersville, N.C.) checking in at 9:10.81 to pace the effort.
