RESULTS
NORTHFIELD, Vt. - The Norwich University men's and women's swimming & diving teams concluded their regular season in commanding fashion, sweeping Plymouth State University while honoring one of the most esteemed groups of seniors in program history as part of Senior Day.
The Cadet men topped the Panthers, 143-74, while the Norwich women coasted past Plymouth State, 203-44.
Norwich broke a pair of pool records throughout the afternoon, with
Martin Adlianitski (Cheshire, Conn.) shattering the 200 yard freestyle mark with a 1:45.53 effort.
Adlianitski was later involved in the men's 200 yard freestyle relay team, which also featured
Benjamin Stark (Montverde, Fla.), Kristian Adlianitski (Cheshire, Conn.), and Will Thompson (Downingtown, Pa.). That relay squad broke the pool record in that event, finishing with a 1:28.49 time.
The meet featured countless individual standouts, including
Brandy Lewis (Strafford, Vt.) on the women's side, who claimed three individual first-place finishes and helped the 200 medley relay take first.
Prior to the meet, the Cadets honored their prestigious class of 2024, comprised of eight men and five women.Â
Aidan Danforth (Stockton, Calif.), Aidan Grady (Sandwich, Mass.), Tobias Macedo (Kennebunk, Maine), Anthony Rabbia (New Hartford, N.Y.), Noah Scott (Fayetteville, N.C.), Benjamin Stark, Logan Wineriter (Canterbury, N.H.), Daniel Taylor (Minden, Nev.), Heather Ansley (Owen Cross Roads, Ala.), Cassidy Chadock (Newark, Ohio), Angelina Kelliher (Weymouth, Mass.), Hannah Shaner (Gilbertsville, Pa.), and Kayla Waszak (Hawley, Pa.) were all recognized for their longstanding efforts and lasting legacies to the swimming & diving program.

The swimming & diving teams will now turn their direction toward the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championships, hosted by WPI between Feb. 2-4. The men's and women's teams will defend their titles from last year, when the men captured the crown for the first time since 2020, while the women were victorious for the first time since 2003. More information on the GNAC Championships will be available in the coming weeks.
