NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Six members of the Norwich University women's rugby team were recognized for strong showings in the classroom and on the pitch, earning spots on the National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA) All-Academic Team, as announced by the league on Tuesday afternoon.
A trio of seniors in
Morgan Butcher (Burlington, Mass.),
Emily Ngo (Turlock, Calif.), and
Ember Rousseau (St. Johnsbury, Vt.), as well as three sophomores in
Rachel Kempf (Warwick, R.I.),
Shannon Hobbs (Burlington, N.C.), and
Amanda Uggalla (Staten Island, N.Y.), represented the Cadets on the All-Academic Team.

Quinnipiac University and Sacred Heart University featured the most players with 15 each.
The Cadets concluded their 2022-23 season with the University of New England 7s Tournament back on Apr. 15, and will open the 2023-24 campaign on Sep. 2 with the Norwich Jamboree.
