RESULTS
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The Norwich University men's and women's swimming & diving teams closed their pre-Thanksgiving schedule in commanding fashion, claiming victory in all 26 events in a thorough dual meet sweep of Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) foe University of Saint Joseph on Friday evening inside the Bruyette Natatorium.
The two teams combined for a 343.5-78.5 final over the Blue Jays, as the women finished with a 176.5-55.5 edge while the men maintained a 167-23 lead to conclude the evening.
"Today was a great opportunity for us to get some strong swims and performances in before going into our academic break," said Head Coach
Jennifer Cournoyer. "It was great to compete against a GNAC team which sparked excitement."
The Cadets opened the afternoon with back-to-back wins in the 200 medley relay and never looked back, as several Cadets logged notable performances and victories.Â
Jenna Tschida (Goffstown, N.H.) took first in three events, setting top season times, while
Anna Gosselin (Lisbon, Conn.) swam the 1650 freestyle for the first time, capturing first in dominant victory.
Aidan Grady (Sandwich, Mass.) and
Reilly Laitala (Sterling, Mass.) set new season-bests in diving scores to continue their dominant tear through diving competition.

The Norwich men's and women's swimming & diving teams will return to the pool in December for the three-day Gompei Invitational, hosted by Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) from Friday, Dec. 1 to Sunday, Dec. 3 in Worcester, Mass. Day one is set to begin with a morning session at 9:00 a.m., followed by an evening session at 6:30 p.m.
